Specializing in realism and portraiture, Christine Pezzi has been celebrating the human form and expression with her paintings for many years. Christine is a South Kingstown, Rhode Island native and self-taught artist. She began sketching portraits as a teenager and moved on to acrylic and later, oil paints while studying psychology and administration of justice at Salve Regina University. Deriving inspiration from personal experience, Christine considers her artistic education to be a direct result of her love of family, friendship, the human psyche, music, body modification, nature, and the community of local artists whose fellowship has been the catalyst for a thriving local art scene. From the iconic faces of celebrities to the memories captured in family portraits, pet portraits, land or seascapes, Christine strives to create art for any occasion. Currently residing in Fall River, Massachusetts, much of Christine’s work can be seen at the Gallery at Mom and Pop Tattoo and Piercing as well as in various other local studios.
